This is a unique cable where the 3.5mm or 2 RCA audio is extruded along the HDMI and DVI cable in order to give an Audio source to this all in one cable. As most know that DVI has never given nor does it have an output for Audio, it only gives Video hence its prefix DVI for Digital Video Interface. As such consumers would have to buy an external audio cable at an extra cost and to manage an extra dangled cable.
